Audrey Messas (b. Strasbourg, 1966) is a mixed media visual artist based in Tel Aviv.
Her practice explores transformation, perception, and the fragile thresholds between
silence and expression. Working with collage, paint, ink, and found materials, she layers
textures, glues paper, and veils images to transform the texture of reality into poetic
compositions. Her vivid palette is shaped by place and charged with emotion, echoing
both fragility and resilience. In parallel, she works as an eye surgeon, restoring vision in
a literal sense—an experience that informs her art with a unique perspective on sight,
loss, and renewal. In 2020 she held a solo exhibition in Tel Aviv, and since then her work
has been shown internationally in Venice, New York, London, and Berlin.
