I work through observation—sometimes direct and focused looking, and sometimes a quieter, more inward gaze. My starting point is often a realistic image, but I let the work lead the way and choose its own medium. My works deal with parting, memory, and our connection to people, objects, and what is transient. I am drawn to moments that never fully materialized, to remnants—what lingers in the body or in the material even after something has ended.
I was born in Moscow in 1980 and immigrated to Israel in 1989. I live in Jerusalem and create at the Teddy Artists’ Studios. I was a member of the “Studio of Her Own” project (until 2020), and participated in the Pais Art Incubators for art in the public space (2023). I studied art at The Art Students League of New York, at the Midrasha School of Art, Beit Berl, and after completing my MFA at the University of Haifa, I joined the Nulobaz Gallery.
Alongside my art, I am the mother of Yotam Ofek and Galia Yasmin, I work in software development for autonomous vehicles, and I live in the urban kibbutz community “Beit Yisrael.”
