Nulobaz from Zevulun marks Nulobaz Gallery’s farewell to its space on Zevulun Street after seven years of activity and its transition to a new home in Kiryat HaMelacha. Since 2017, the gallery has operated as a collaborative platform for its artists, presenting solo and group exhibitions alongside Pop-Up weekends, performances, poetry readings, concerts and gallery talks. The gallery’s name, Nulobaz, is itself a reversal of Zevulun, the street where this community first took shape.
Bringing together all of the gallery’s artists in its current formation for the first time, the exhibition invites each participant to contribute one or two works as an offering to the gallery—a gesture of farewell and, perhaps, a small talisman of hope. Conceived as a secular cultural sanctuary, the exhibition reflects on endings and beginnings, grief and renewal, while holding on to the possibility of transformation during a time marked by war and uncertainty.
Like a snake shedding its skin, the gallery leaves one home behind in order to continue its journey elsewhere. Nulobaz from Zevulun is both a farewell to a place and a celebration of the artistic community that grew within it, carrying its shared history into a new chapter.
